Mid-South Bike Fest enjoys a rich tradition of Music, Celebration and Brotherhood. And Mid-South Bike Fest 2015 promises to exceed the expectations of these time-tested customs.
This year's Mid-South Bikefest has Great Music and we're reaching across the different genres to showcase local talent. Our Fest Concert Series begins Friday night with local talent and up and coming star Skyler Anderson, to get the party started. Hold on to those emotions for our Saturday night headliner is the sweet, soul-intoxicating, blues appreciating voice and beauty of Lil' Rounds, one of our own Memphis treasures and top performers from American Idol. She might make you cry but it will be hard to tell behind all those smiles of enjoyment.
Celebration is definitely a word that describes Mid-South Bike Fest. It all begins on Wednesday, July 22nd on Beale Street. At 5 pm we gather for some “Bikers on Beale Street” food, drinks and entertainment. The Bike Fest wrist band is King that evening as the whole Beale Street community extends their Memphis welcome to all comers. At 8 pm we will enjoy an escorted “Beale to Bowl” parade in honor of our City and County Mayors, who have been so supportive of our community service efforts (see “Our Quest”). Waiting for us at Tiger Lane (Liberty Bowl), our Fest home for the next four days, are Fest Opening Activities which include the lighting of our Fest Unity Torch by various community representatives and moving to the music of the VIP’s, one of the great dance-bands of Memphis. And we have only just begun to celebrate. Add a variety of motorcycle s and cars at the Bike and Car Show, a fun kid-zone with water slides and bounce houses, vendors, presentations, RV, caps , a fun kid-zone, plus a slew of exhibitors, presentations, RV, camper & tent camper, have the perfect environment for some old-fashion, let your hair down, two-step boogie, I’m not going home tonight, where is my Jack D, pardon me maam, give me a hug, I’m just resting my eyes, four days of CELEBRATON at the FEST. And perhaps the greatest celebration of them all will be at the very end, on Sunday morning, July 24th, when we thank our Creator for all our Fest blessings.
To enhance our tradition of Brotherhood, this year we Club Village, which is where all Motorcycle and Social clubs are invited to gather, each with their own designated hospitality space, courtesy of the Bike Fest. Besides hospitality space for every Club, Club village includes a second entertainment stage where the “Party After the Party” begins after the main stage has finished. Legendary Memphis DJ Reginald “Hollywood Stain” Thompson will choose the beats and lead the battle of DJ’s into our own version of Midnight Madness. A cigar & libation lounge, southern comfort food, plus a few other surprise amenities will transform Club Village into a cozy corner for our worthy and appreciated supporters.
Any way you slice it, Mid-South Bike Fest is a high energy, high entertainment, high value biker opportunity.
